In the age of the digital era, where change is as quick as a sneeze and new platforms plumets like thorns, there will always be leaders of the new school who know and understand the digital world better than others, and/or understands that building something bigger than themselves requires a perspective that teaches you to evolve not only for their own benefit but for the legacy that chose them.
For most of us who have built digital careers, The Podcast and Chill Network has over the years been an interesting platform to observe, its growth, its consistencies, its way of finding passages of change and constantly seeking to try something new right infront of millions of people. This platform with its faults and misfortunes has really led from the front without looking back.
on the 23rd of February 2026, The Podcast and Chill Network ushered in a new era, introducing more than 5 new shows in addition to the flagship shows they already had, a few weeks ago , the network announced that they are parting ways with Popcorn and Cheese, their comedic show that aired on the channel for a little over 3 years. There is no comedy show in the new lineup but the Flagship Podcast and Chill with MacG remains untouched with episodes every Monday and Tuesday with Sol Phenduka and Ghost Lady still part of the show.
The young trip of Zille, Yanda and Seema remain Spreading Humours while Piano Pulse rebrands to Music Pulse with the addition of Nota to the trio of Sfiso, Mars and Thakgi. One of the new shows will see former Orlando Pirates footballers, Steve Lekolea and Thulasizwe Mbuyane joining The Soccer podcast now called “Back to Diski”, The other show that is set to send tongues waging is The Bhinca Nation hosted by Ngizwe Mchunu and Pinky Small, We know that Ngizwe will be doing most of the talking and that is set to cause headlines week after week.
Other Shows also see the likes of Tshego and BU hosting a show together, Londi London, Phil Mphela and Shamiso will host a pop culture inspired and driven show, Don Dada who made waves during the skhothane era will host a kasi inspired show with two other co-host, Mcfarlare will host a current affairs driven show and with his background in both TV and Radio production, we are really looking forward to what he does with this platform.
Welldone to the management and support staff of The Podcast and Chill Network for taking a step that is not only brave but revolutionary. what we do hope for as well is to see new faces in the future, we hope that the channel can also find a balance between popular faces and those with impact beyond the numbers. The new Era promises to bring about an interest twist into the digital broadcasting landscape and we wish the team all the best.
